Good question! Karaoke PLUS is exactly what it sounds like. An inclusive style of karaoke where it isn't just your typical go-in-and-and-sing-then-leave performance. We DJ, make jokes, dance, and beyond. We don't just simply put the word "PLUS" on our moniker because it looks cool either. We have it there because it's in our belief to involve EVERYONE to our fun, and make sure you and your party having a great time doing, whatever the occasion! Quinton L. Thomas
Founder, DJ, Host
Being a longtime devotee of the Toledo, Ohio music scene, Quinton (Quin) have had his fair share of experiences as a fan and being a face in the crowd. His karaoke journey began in Summer of 2012, when he was homeless at the time. He spent most of that year singing karaoke in a small bistro at the historic Spitzer Arcade in Downtown Toledo, and greatly gained popularity with regulars and newcomers alike. It eventually lead him to careers like writing for Toledo Streets Newspaper and his Facebook blogs/vlogs, "#DEWrant."
In March 2017, Quin became the host of karaoke night at the Bronze Boar, where he still currently does shows, in Downtown Toledo. Initially had only been trained to DJ in less of 3 weeks, Quin thought to expand the night into what he calls "Rat-Pack Style." A style of variety stage play made famous by Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and famous others. The shows since the initial date began to grow into the most unique night in the city due to the unique and all-welcoming stature of the shows. From singing in emulation of Charlie Daniels with "The Devil Went Down to Georgia", to rapping memes like "MAN'S NOT HOT"; From sing with others, to doing a sing-offs against random people, Quin shows no bounds in his forever-growing musical prowess.
Melissa Shaner
Host, Promoter
Having a deep upbringing with her many talents over the years, Melissa's karaoke genesis began when she sang "Genie in a Bottle" by Christina Aguliera. She even enjoys books and movies such as the "Harry Potter" series. One of Melissa's favorite genres are soft rock and show tunes This is a great space to write long text about your company and your services.
She was once a patron that frequently been going to the Karaoke PLUS shows. She loves doing team-ups with someone or with a group to help lift the spirits, especially for the ones that are afraid to sing. As host, she loves to provide humor and love to the crowd in such uniquely, it can be infectiously adorable (exaggerating, but true). Acquiring help with Quin in December of 2017, the faith and love for music with Melissa has been nothing short of excellent.
